For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you are aware of how I recently defined my style character or persona. I always say my style is comfortable and confident, and that is exactly all I want it to be.
A couple years back, I checked a few boxes on what I wanted my style character to be, but along the line, I've come to understand that a box will only restrict your creativity, your style and your expression. To me, style is not just a shirt, or pants or even trends.
Style, to me is my release, my expression and my communication. And my style character is open, bold yet comfortable...maybe chic. With that said, I love structured pieces, denim jackets, baggy sweaters and awkward cuts. I love plain pieces and bold solid colours (just like this orange bottoms).
So today, I'm styling a look that is different from what I'm used to, but still fits my style persona. These bright orange pants bring me back to the nineties for a little bit. But paired with this cropped denim jacket from SheIn, we get back to the 21st century, with a "baddie" fit.
At first, I was a bit conflicted on whether to wear the jacket as a top or paired with a body suit, as a jacket. I threw caution to the wind and did a bit of both! What is your style character? Is style a form of art and expression to you, or just an everyday activity! Let me know in the comment section below!
