Its the first of March, Spring is right on our heels and I am definitely ready to stat slipping off all my extra sweater layers. Its crazy how the weather affects my mood and energy but what can I say, I am a tropical weather kind of girl. With the weather change, I am jumping into comfortable tees and sleeveless shirts while keeping the warmth with my outer jackets. Here is how to slip into spring.
Its been busy lately, I've been adjusting to the "fresh grad" life and working on new VIDEOS and TLP projects, sometimes 24 hours is not even enough! Anyways, the mini life update is over, lets get into why we came here huh? I've been told that I do comfortable and practical style and fashion well, with this compliment, I figured doing a "How to slip into spring" style was a good idea. Here are 5 things I do for my spring style.
TIP 1: Keep the outer wear warm and bulky and go light on the inner. You need the warmth for when you step out but for indoor temperature, you want to keep in light. Your Teddy, Macs and long coats will be your best friend.
TIP 2: Build into the color. Its called slipping into the weather for a reason. Reach for tans and nudes and walk your way into the pastels and then the vibrant colors.
TIP 3: Switch out the boots and "fuzzys" for comfortable and stylish sneakers/ runners! I always reach for my white Zara runners first but with melting snow, you might want to stick with darker colors. But runners are definitely more fun and comfortable than oversize boots.
TIP 4: Do denim! Denim is perfect for every season and spring is no different and with the warmth, distressed denim is definitely a great idea!
TIP 5: Add accessories. With less time spent wiping the sniffles away from your nose and carrying extra scarves and gloves, you have more time to throw in an accessory or two. A fun hat maybe or maybe a lighter and cute cross body bag.
I went with this amazing Camel Coat and my sleeveless Zara top as well as my ripped denim.
