Happy New Year Babe! Welcome to 2019! I know you have probably read about 300 posts on resolutions and goal setting, so lets start with a quick style #ootd. Today, we're keeping it simple, chic and oh so comfortable!
I know we always see the new year like as fresh canvas where we can start something new or redirect the course of our lives. But you really don't always have to wait till January of every year to start something new. If you have been following me on instagram, You must have noticed #startsomethingnewmonday , a fun way to kick your butt into action and get you going! Yes you have a new year, a fresh canvas...but so is every day, every week, every month. Don't sweat the small stuff this year babe.
Now onto style and resolutions; I have a couple things to add to my wardrobe and portfolio. For 2019, my style resolution is stepping more out of my comfort zone and wearing bolder patterns like this vintage structured coat. I also want to grow my accessories collection - I mean I need about twenty more rings, thirty more watches and at least two belts (this is the actual struggle for me).
Style resolutions aside, remember to be kind to yourself this year. Make sure to take time and celebrate your wins and victories. Know when to step back and step up. Be a better you this year and remember not to get lost in media and self criticism.
The Look: Style and Resolutions
This Checkered coat is definitely my favourite buy of the season. Its soft and the oversized fit is perfect for layering. I styled it by pairing my oversized beige pants with one of my winter staples - the black turtle neck sweater. I finished this look by adding my favourite sock boots and a mini boy bag.
And in line with one of my fashion goals of the year, I'm wearing these big gold earrings to bring out my cheekbones. Why not?
