Hey guys, how's it going?!! Great I hope. Anyways today's post is about ORIGINALITY, yes we need to tal about it.
Originality is all about being unique and self confident, it's about your brand and personality. First of all I believe that we live in a world where people want to put everybody in a group, box you in...find a category for you. I believe that society fails to understand uniqueness and individuality. *sigh* But this is not a fuck you society rant yet....it's coming but this isn't it :).
Growing up (like we all do everyday), we tend to look up to different people who are already doing something that we want to do and they are doing it successfully. It's great to look up to people, it's great to have mentors but while you are looking up to people and trying to be good at stuff like they are, it is important that you do not try to be them while you are trying to be like them. Try not to shape your life according to what your role model is doing, try not to change yourself (please do not change your physical appearance because you are trying to be like someone) with the excuse that you are trying to be a success. One thing I like to remember is that we are all beings with free will and that people are where they are (successfully) because they did something unique, something out of the ordinary.
Everybody is searching for something different, new, unique but most times we fail to accept people based on the same criteria. Learn to always show what you are good at, learn to let your personality shine through, sometimes those things might be crazy but you'll be surprised at how attractive your quirks might be. The world is a market place filled with people who are doing what you are doing, the only way to make a difference is by being different.
Do not jump on every trend bus, and if you have to, make each trend yours. Learn to filter opinions, people will always give their opinion.....this can either aid you growth or break you entirely. Realise that at the end of the day you should be doing what you are comfortable with and what makes you happy. Think about how many people have become famous or successful for doing something different; somebody actually designed the Du-rag ( saddest creation ever LMAOO) , Ice jj Fish has millions of views on YouTube (somebody please cage him :'(....) , ever wondered what the first person who ever discovered that cows can be milked was doing with that cow when he found that out....errr ok.
Basically, make yourself into somebody that you would love, never modify yourself to fit into a situation because each time you do that, it kills you a little on the inside, be confident in who you are..... The people you look up to are definitely not perfect and I bet if you got really close to some of your "role models" you probably won't like them at all. Keep at what you are doing right, it will pay off eventually and if you feel like you don't really belong in the any group in life, it is ok... Who wants to be regular anyways ;).
