You don’t always have to go out and get new clothes you know...at least that’s what I try try to tell myself from time to time. Does it work? Sometime...okay maybe not but hey at least I’m trying. That’s my internal monthly monologue, the constant battle between living responsibly and wanting to satisfy my fashion craving. It’s a process but at least it bring me new ideas from time to time. Just like this “Denim Restyle” look.
I just finished my fall cleaning, and I’ve been looking for ways to restyle some of my most basic wardrobe pieces. The denim jacket is undoubtedly one of the most versatile wardrobe piece that you need. I’be always loved it; the laidback chic look it adds to your everyday style can only be matched by very few pieces.
In an attempt to style the denim jacket in an unconventional, this denim restyle look was born. I paired this red high waisted skirt that I’ve missed since Christmas with my red Perspex boots from Steve Madden. I threw in a white graphic clutch because who doesn’t like a clutch that talks back? Not me!
Tucking in a cropped denim jacket was definitely tricky. It left a little bulge around the waste area but I found that some tights/control pants fixed that problem. This Denim Restyle look was definitely a win for because I found a way to create a fun chic look using one of my basic staple pieces.
I’m currently wondering if I can whip something up with my leather jacket but that’ll definitely be a experiment for another day. What’s your favorite wardrobe basic that you’d like to Restyle? Also let me know what your favorite fall item has been so far because i’m Definitely in love with these red boots all over again!
