Complementary Tones

Complimentary tonesHold on! The weather in winnipeg is so perfect right now, it feels like early spring and I love everything about it. Now, let’s talk about layering and complementary tones 🙂

Styling complimentary or similar toned pieces has been one my favourite trends of 2015, from wearing all white to all shades of gray. I have done the all white and all black look many times, so I’ll try something different, white and cream maybe?

I paired my soft coloured sweater with a white oversized shirt, because I still wear white after labour day and you should too! This sweater is soft, thick and perfectly cosy and just like this oversized shirt, it is a must have. They both came in handy for this look; comfortable, and care free.

I opted for my orange pumps this time instead of black pumps to add a kick to this look. Comfortable doesn’t mean boring or predictable.

So, while the weather is being gentle and friendly, how about we wear complementary tones, white after labour day and bright colours 😉 .

Style is about expressing yourself, break fashion rules if you need to 😉

See you soon!
